My professional journey began at sea, where I rose from First Mate to 100-Ton Master Captain. Managing high-value assets and leading diverse crews in unpredictable environments instilled in me a "safety-first" mindset and the technical grit required for mission-critical operations. This period defined my ability to maintain complex systems in isolation, a skill that translates directly to field engineering and remote technical support.

In Los Angeles, I transitioned into high-level production at Material Pictures, contributing to the development of major motion pictures. This role demanded meticulous script coverage and project coordination, teaching me how to bridge the gap between a creative vision and the logistical reality of a production pipeline. During this time, I also trained at the Upright Citizens Brigade (UCB), honing the real-time communication and improvisational problem-solving skills essential for live environments.

Live Event Engineering & Signal DistributionAt Encore (formerly PSAV), I served as a Video Technician, managing the technical backbone of large-scale corporate conferences. My role was twofold: precision projection of live assets and the management of complex broadcast streams over IP. This was where my "tech geek" roots met professional demand, as I mastered the hardware and software required to deliver seamless, zero-latency content to global audiences.

Live News Directing & Systems EngineeringAs a Director at KGTV (ABC 10News), I took command of the control room, directing multiple live news broadcasts per week. This required precise synchronization of talent, technical crews, and automated rundowns. When the global pandemic necessitated a shift in operations, I pivoted into a Systems Engineering role. I spearheaded the transition from a traditional studio model to a distributed "live-in-the-field" architecture, leveraging my expertise in IP streaming and remote workflows to ensure uninterrupted broadcast continuity during a period of unprecedented change.
